KidShape Spring Classes

Description
"PinnacleHealthâÂÂs KidShape, a weight management program for overweight children and their parents, will host classes on the East and West Shores beginning in September. KidShape, which is sponsored by the Highmark Foundation, meets once a week over nine weeks and is a fun-filled program that helps overweight children (ages 6-14), accompanied by a parent or guardian, to become healthy.
KidShape employs only degree, certified instructors in nutrition, mental health and physical education using interactive games, cooking demonstrations and minimal discussion to uncover habits, choices and learn how to make better ones in order to lead a healthy, productive life. If a child's Body Mass Index (BMI) falls within the obese category, he or she qualifies for this program.
The spring classes will be held 6-8 p.m., April 4 through May 30, 2012."
